FastRing Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

Summary: FastRing does not collect or transmit personal data. Fasting records and preferences remain on your devices.

Data FastRing stores

FastRing stores fasting session timestamps, selected plans, optional hydration entries, notification preferences, and app settings locally on your device. This information is required to provide the timer, history, widgets, complications, and Live Activities.

Device synchronization

FastRing may transfer the current timer state directly between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple system frameworks. Shared App Group storage lets the FastRing app and its own extensions display the same timer. This data is not sent to a FastRing-operated server.

Data collection and tracking

FastRing does not require an account, include advertising, use third-party analytics SDKs, track you across apps or websites, or sell personal data. Diagnostic information that you independently choose to share with Apple is governed by your Apple device and App Store settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

FastRing offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes payment and FastRing never receives your payment-card details. The app uses StoreKit on your device to check whether a subscription is active and unlock FastRing+ features. FastRing does not send purchase or subscription information to a developer-operated server.

Health data

The first release of FastRing does not request access to HealthKit or read Apple Health data. FastRing is a general wellness timer, not a medical device, and does not measure physiological states.

Notifications and system surfaces

If you enable notifications, FastRing asks iOS to schedule alerts on your device. Live Activities, widgets, and complications are provided through Apple system frameworks. You can disable notification access in iOS Settings and hide timer details on glanceable surfaces in FastRing Settings.

Your choices

FastRing+ subscribers can export a JSON copy of local records. Everyone can delete all local fasting and hydration data from FastRing Settings. Uninstalling the app also removes app data according to Apple platform behavior. Data already exported or backed up by you is under your control.

Children and safety

FastRing is not directed to children. The app advises people under 18 and people for whom fasting may be unsafe to seek qualified professional guidance before changing their eating pattern.

Changes to this policy

If FastRing's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is released.
